C. J. Farquis is the resident creative behind Henry’s.
Born outside Chicago,
he developed an early affinity for museum-going and street-wandering.
From age 3, he learned to play piano & violin,
and took weekend classes downtown at the Art Institute.
Eventually moving to Hamilton, outside Cincinnati, OH,
he graduated from Butler Tech for Visual Arts
before promptly moving to New York City,
where he worked in fashion media and
directed a mid-century modern furniture gallery.
His manifesto is simple:
maximize individual elements of a given creative process to their full capacity.
His work embodies many mediums, from magnified illustration prints, to textural mixed-medium paintings, digital collage, and, most recently, interactive sculpture and light installation.
